Dec. 1: Annual open house/toy drive at Gateway Classic Cars - great food by Sugarfire, Bella Milano, and Roy-El Catering, beautiful cars, and good company. Thanks to our members who displayed their Corvettes and helped with teardown after the event.
Dec. 6: Our December meeting is also our annual Christmas cheer, with a very brief meeting and then dinner immediately after adjournment. There was our typical big crowd for the event, and a delicious meal was served up by Cygan Delaney Catering. Thanks to all who brought delicious cookies or dessert items, that topped off the buffet perfectly. It was so good to see Jeff and Aida, and wonderful to know that Aida is back to good health. We've missed you both!
We distributed our Reflection Fund to this year's recipients at the December meeting - Playground for All Abilities, Highland; Moms on a Mission; DAV Chapter 90, Glen Carbon; and Laney Grace Organization. Thanks to the committee for the difficult task of deciding which of the deserving charities would receive funding and also to our members for providing us with very worthwhile charitable causes.
No visitors at the December meeting.

June 20-22: Bloomington Gold, Indianapolis Motor Speedway. By now, you've probably heard that this will be a Corvette and Camaro show in order to appeal to a larger audience. The jury's still out on how this will be received by Corvette enthusiasts. Time will tell. Lodging update - the Drury Inn that we've stayed at the past few years is now a Peartree (Drury property). They will still have the hot breakfast but only snacks, wine and beer in the evening instead of the "Kickback" that we used to have. Cost has gone down $25/night for the rooms, though. If you booked a room last year, you need do nothing more; your reservation is secure. The club will decide whether or not to keep a suite at the track due to an anticipated drop in participation for 2019.
